Privacy

This site exists to introduce Ufology in Practice and to receive accounts from people who have lived through an experience. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to what you send.

What we keep

  • What you write in the account form: the account itself, where and when it happened and, if you choose, a name or nickname and an email address.
  • Your choice about how the account may be used (publish without your name, publish with your name, or don't publish) and the date you gave permission.
  • The country the submission came from, as reported by the network that hosts the site. We do not keep your IP address.

The site uses no tracking cookies and no advertising tools.

Some pages show YouTube videos. Before you click, only the cover image comes from YouTube. When you click, the video loads through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and from then on Google's rules apply.

What it's for

  • To read your account and, if you gave permission, share it on Ufology in Practice's channels with the Account badge.
  • To reply to you by email, if you left one, for example to ask for a photo or confirm a detail.

If you chose "don't publish," the account stays with us only. An account published without a name carries no data that identifies you.

Where it's stored and for how long

Accounts are stored in a database at Cloudflare, the company that hosts the site. They are kept for as long as the page exists or until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018), you can ask to see, correct or delete your account and your data, and you can change your mind about publication at any time. To do that, send a direct message on Instagram to @ufologyinpractice with what you wrote (or part of it), so we can find your account.

AI-generated images

Some of Ufology in Practice's images and videos are made with artificial intelligence to help picture an idea. They always carry the Illustration badge and are never presented as a real record.
